Carlos PenaVega shot to fame and cult status after starring on the highly successful Nickelodeon musical comedy “Big Time Rush” as Carlos Garcia. The band of the same name hit the road, selling out arenas around the globe and releasing three albums, each of which received gold certification. PenaVega is currently on a national tour with Big Time Rush, and recently played Madison Square Garden to a sold out arena. PenaVega portrayed Oscar Vasquez in Lionsgate Films/Pantelion Films feature Spare Parts, alongside George Lopez and Marisa Tomei.
Opposite his wife Alexa PenaVega, PenaVega starred in three installments of “Picture Perfect Mysteries” for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries as well as the Hallmark Channel original movies “Enchanted Christmas” and “Love at Sea.” A singer and a dancer, PenaVega starred as Kenickie with Julianne Hough and Vanessa Hudgens in the live, two-hour television musical production of “Grease: Live!,” based on the classic American movie musical Grease. He also starred alongside Kate Bosworth, Juno Temple, Kay Panabaker and Kyle Gallner in the independent feature film Little Birds. He is the voice of Bobby in the animated series “The Loud House,” and its spinoff “The Casagrandes.”
He can now add author to his resume, with the recently released book What if Love is the Point? Co-written with his wife, Alexa PenaVega, the couple shares their inspiring stories of how they went from feeling lost and searching for meaning, to the realization that living their lives for Jesus and loving others is really what life is about.
PenaVega has starred in the superhero mini-series “The Power Couple” as well as the Hallmark Channel original movies “Enchanted Christmas” and “Love at Sea,” both opposite his wife, as well as “A Midnight Kiss.” Additionally, PenaVega starred in The CW series “Life Sentence.”
