Hallmark Movies & Mysteries is in development on “The Royal Mysteries”, an all-new mystery starring Erin Krakow (“When Calls the Heart”).
The original story sets thrilling mysteries against the backdrop of a Royal family. As an employee of the Oldavian Embassy, Tanya (Krakow) finds herself caught up in a web of intrigue, deceit and murder. She joins forces with James, the Prince of Oldavia, and together they set out to uncover the truth behind the mysterious death of the prominent Oldavian Ambassador.
The all-new movie is expected to premiere in 2020 on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries announces it will launch all new signature mystery, "Matchmaker Mysteries" coming this September.
The movie stars, Danica McKellar as Angie Dove, host of a popular Philadelphia-based reality show dedicated to helping single people find their soulmates. Soon after one of her couples gets engaged on TV, the bride-to-be is murdered. The eligible bachelor Angie proclaimed as her perfect match is arrested as the prime suspect. Wanting to clear her client’s name, Angie uses all her matchmaking skills to evaluate the character and integrity of the suspects and cleverly gets them to reveal the truth about themselves. Not shy, she’ll sweet-talk her way into a crime scene, face-off with a bouncer at a hot nightclub or even endure a dental exam to interrogate a key witness. Victor Webster (“Summer Villa") plays Kyle Cooper, a by-the-book detective who isn’t thrilled that Angie is launching her own investigation. Much to his chagrin, he can’t help but admit when she’s unearthed valuable information that helps move the case forward. Veteran actor Bruce Boxleitner rounds out the cast as Angie’s dad, Nick Colomba, a retired detective who is always on hand to give his daughter advice and support – both in life and in her amateur investigation.

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries announces it will launch SIGNATURE MYSTERY, the premiere Sunday night destination on television for thrilling mysteries featuring a slate of all-new mystery franchises and the return of the network’s highest-rated mystery series. The network unveils plans for new installments of returning, popular mystery franchises including “Garage Sale Mysteries,” starring Lori Loughlin; “Aurora Teagarden Mysteries” starring Candace Cameron Bure; “Hailey Dean Mysteries,” starring Kellie Martin and based on the books by Nancy Grace; and “Morning Show Mysteries,” starring Holly Robinson Peete and Rick Fox and based on the books by Al Roker and Dick Lochte. The returning hit franchises will be joined by all-new mysteries, “Chronicle Mysteries,” starring Alison Sweeney, “Crossword Mysteries” starring Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott and inspired by Will Shortz, crossword editor of The New York Times; and “Picture Perfect Mysteries” (wt) starring Alexa PenaVega and Carlos PenaVega.

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries is in development with Patti Stanger, star and executive producer of Bravo’s hit series “The Millionaire Matchmaker,” for “The Matchmaker Mysteries,” a new, original movie franchise with Danica McKellar (“Wonder Years”) set to star.
McKellar will star as Patricia Sill, a professional matchmaker with a keen understanding of human nature that allows her to assess the lovelorn and successfully bring them together. When one of her carefully vetted clients becomes the prime suspect in a murder mystery, Patricia is determined to get to the truth and clear her client’s name, as well as preserve her professional reputation. As she investigates, Patricia bickers and banters with Sam Kaplan, the police officer working the case, but the growing mutual attraction between the two is no mystery.

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries announces a development deal with Emmy® Award-winning actress Susan Lucci. The mystery movie, in which Lucci will star and executive produce, is based on the novel “Charley’s Web” by Joy Fielding. It will focus on a columnist who uncovers the truth behind the crimes in the community.
As one of the most famous faces in daytime television history, Susan Lucci has held audiences spellbound for years. In 1999, Lucci won an Emmy® Award for Best Actress and was the recipient of a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2005. Lucci has been seen in a variety of shows including “All My Children,” “Devious Maids,” “Hot in Cleveland,” “Dancing with the Stars,” “Army Wives” and “Saturday Night Live.” In 2011, Lucci released her New York Times bestselling autobiography All My Life. In addition to television, Lucci has performed on Broadway and has become a successful entrepreneur launching a variety of beauty products. Lastly, Lucci has a tireless commitment to humanitarian efforts.

“Picture Perfect” stars Alexa and Carlos PenaVega. The script will be written by Walter Klenhard (“Garage Sale Mystery”), and has Alexa portraying a photographer who ends up helping the local police detective, played by Carlos, solve mysteries.
“The Chronicle Mysteries,” starring Alison Sweeney
“The Chronicle Mysteries” stars Alison Sweeney (“Murder She Baked,” “Days of Our Lives”), as Alex McPherson a novelist and podcaster who’s researching the cold case of Gina DeSavio. Alex loves the chase, loves solving any puzzle or mystery. She is particularly interested in Gina’s disappearance because Alex and Gina knew each other as children growing up in a small town. Alex is also Miles Lawrence's niece, the owner of the local paper the Harrington Chronicle, and she's about to inherit the paper.

“Crossword Mysteries” with Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott is set to premiere in March 2019, the movie is co-created by Will Shortz, crossword editor of The New York Times, puzzle master for NPR's "Weekend Edition Sunday," editor of Games magazine and founder and director of the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament.
A brilliant crossword puzzle editor (Chabert) finds her life turned upside-down when she is pulled into a police investigation after several of the clues in her recent puzzles are linked to unsolved crimes. The lure of an unsolved puzzle leads to an unlikely partnership working with a tough, but charming police detective (Elliott) as the two set out to solve the murder before the killer strikes again.
