Kelly Blatz : Martin

Kelly Blatz was born on June 16th, 1987 in Los Angeles, California. He is the son of Jodi, a hairstylist, and Richard Blatz, a salesman. He attended Burbank High school where he excelled in sports, music and film.

After graduating high school in 2005, he was set to attend film school, but decided not to go after orientation. He then went on to study acting with renowned teacher Ivana Chubbuck at her studio for two years.

In 2008, he got his first lead role in the movie “Prom Night” opposite Britanny Snow and Idris Elba. He then went on to appear in the film “From Within” opposite Jared Harris, Adam Goldberg and Thomas Dekker. In 2009, he was cast as the lead in the film “April Showers” which was based on the true story of the Columbine shootings. Also in 2009, he was cast in the title role in Disney XD's first live action series titled “Aaron Stone.”

In 2011, he was cast as the lead in TBS's first hour long comedy titled “Glory Daze” which also starred Tim Meadows and Brad Garrett. In 2013-14 he starred in the films “Lost Angeles,” “One Heart,” “Exeter,” and “4 Minute Mile” opposite Richard Jenkins, Kim Basinger and Analeigh Tipton.

He has appeared as a guest on numerous shows including “Chicago Fire,” “NCIS,” and “Lucifer.” Kelly was also in the band Capra from 2005-2011. After leaving the band in 2012, he released four albums under the moniker Scott Kid.

In 2014, he made his foray into filmmaking, directing numerous short documentaries. In 2015, he directed and starred in his first narrative short film titled “The Stairs” opposite Anthony Heald, which is currently in the festival circuit and won the Audience award for best short film at the Ashland Independent Film Festival and nominated for best short at the Palm Beach International Film Festival.
