Hallmark Movies & Mysteries is in development with Patti Stanger, star and executive producer of Bravo’s hit series “The Millionaire Matchmaker,” for “The Matchmaker Mysteries,” a new, original movie franchise with Danica McKellar (“Wonder Years”) set to star.
McKellar will star as Patricia Sill, a professional matchmaker with a keen understanding of human nature that allows her to assess the lovelorn and successfully bring them together. When one of her carefully vetted clients becomes the prime suspect in a murder mystery, Patricia is determined to get to the truth and clear her client’s name, as well as preserve her professional reputation. As she investigates, Patricia bickers and banters with Sam Kaplan, the police officer working the case, but the growing mutual attraction between the two is no mystery.

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries announces a development deal with Emmy® Award-winning actress Susan Lucci. The mystery movie, in which Lucci will star and executive produce, is based on the novel “Charley’s Web” by Joy Fielding. It will focus on a columnist who uncovers the truth behind the crimes in the community.
As one of the most famous faces in daytime television history, Susan Lucci has held audiences spellbound for years. In 1999, Lucci won an Emmy® Award for Best Actress and was the recipient of a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2005. Lucci has been seen in a variety of shows including “All My Children,” “Devious Maids,” “Hot in Cleveland,” “Dancing with the Stars,” “Army Wives” and “Saturday Night Live.” In 2011, Lucci released her New York Times bestselling autobiography All My Life. In addition to television, Lucci has performed on Broadway and has become a successful entrepreneur launching a variety of beauty products. Lastly, Lucci has a tireless commitment to humanitarian efforts.

“Picture Perfect,” starring Alexa PenaVega and Carlos PenaVega
“Picture Perfect” stars Alexa and Carlos PenaVega. The script will be written by Walter Klenhard (“Garage Sale Mystery”), and has Alexa portraying a photographer who ends up helping the local police detective, played by Carlos, solve mysteries.
“The Chronicle Mysteries,” starring Alison Sweeney
“The Chronicle Mysteries” stars Alison Sweeney (“Murder She Baked,” “Days of Our Lives”), as Roberta “Robbie” McPherson a novelist and podcaster who’s researching the cold case of Gina DeSavio. Robbie loves the chase, loves solving any puzzle or mystery. She is particularly interested in Gina’s disappearance because Robbie and Gina knew each other as children growing up in a small town. Robbie is also Miles Lawrence's niece, the owner of the local paper the Harrington Chronicle, and she's about to inherit the paper.
“Crossword Mysteries,” starring Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott
“Crossword Mysteries” with Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott is set to premiere in June, the movie is co-created by Will Shortz, crossword editor of The New York Times, puzzle master for NPR's "Weekend Edition Sunday," editor of Games magazine and founder and director of the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament.
A brilliant crossword puzzle editor (Chabert) finds her life turned upside-down when she is pulled into a police investigation after several of the clues in her recent puzzles are linked to unsolved crimes. The lure of an unsolved puzzle leads to an unlikely partnership working with a tough, but charming police detective (Elliott) as the two set out to solve the murder before the killer strikes again.
