Chad Lowe

Emmy® Award winning actor Chad Lowe began his career over 30 years ago, when he appeared in a number of television films. Since then, his work has grown to include lead roles on television shows and in film, along with a behind-the-camera presence directing both television and film projects.

Early in his career, Lowe appeared in television movies including CBS’s “Silence of the Heart” alongside Charlie Sheen, ABC’s “There Must Be a Pony” alongside Elizabeth Taylor and Robert Wagner and the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie “April Morning” alongside Tommy Lee Jones, which premiered on CBS. More recently, he starred in the Hallmark Channel Original Movie “Fielder’s Choice” and as John Denver in the CBS biopic “Take Me Home.”

On television, Lowe garnered critical acclaim for his starring role as an HIV-positive high school student in the third and fourth seasons of the ABC drama “Life Goes On.” Lowe earned a Primetime Emmy® Award for Outstanding Actor in a Drama series for this role.

Throughout his career, Lowe has been a regular presence on hit television series in both guest- starring, recurring and series regular roles. He was a series regular on seven seasons of ABC Family/Freeform’s “Pretty Little Liars,” and had a pivotal recurring role in season six of FOX’s “24.” Lowe has guest-starred on hit series including The CW’s “Supergirl;” TNT’s “Rizzoli & Isles;” Lifetime’s “Drop Dead Diva;” CBS’s “Ghost Whisperer,” “Without a Trace,” “CSI: Miami” and “Now and Again;” FOX’s “Bones;” NBC’s “ER” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” and The WB’s “Popular.” He has also voiced roles on Cartoon Network’s “Young Justice” and Nickelodeon’s “The Wild Thornberrys.”

On film, Lowe’s work has spanned genres. He appeared alongside Diane Lane and Richard Gere in the suspenseful Twentieth Century Fox drama Unfaithful, and starred in the MGM romantic comedy Nobody’s Perfect, the action film True Blood, the dramatic thriller Apprentice

to Murder and the independent drama Quiet Days in Hollywood, among other feature films. In the past two decades, Lowe has expanded his career to include a prominent role behind the camera, directing more than 40 episodes of major television shows, including The CW’s “Supergirl,” ABC Family/Freeform’s “Pretty Little Liars,” “Stitchers” and “Twisted;” ABC’s “American Housewife,” “Notorious” and “Brothers & Sisters;” CBS’s “Life in Pieces,” “Without a Trace” and “Hack;” FOX’s “The Grinder” and “Bones;” TBS’s “Rizzoli & Isles” and NBC’s “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.” He also directed and produced the independent film Beautiful Ohio, starring Rita Wilson, William Hurt and Michelle Trachtenberg.
