Dublin-born actress Katie McGrath is best known for her role as Morgana on BBC One's series "Merlin." Her other roles include appearances in "The Queen" and "The Tudors."
A graduate of Trinity College in Dublin, McGrath earned her degree in history. Wanting to pursue fashion journalism, she took a job at Image magazine before becoming a wardrobe assistant on the set of "The Tudors," where she was convinced to try acting. The job led to a small role on an episode in season two.
McGrath's career led her to star as Princess Margaret in the five-part docudrama about Queen Elizabeth II, "The Queen," for Channel 4. She also appeared in the feature films "Red Mist," "Eden" and "Freakdog," and the TV movie "Damage." In 2008, McGrath had a role in the miniseries, "The Roaring Twenties."
